Godley Green Garden Village
Pea Green is working with Tameside MBC on the delivery of a 2,350 home Garden Village at Godley Green. The appointment includes the co-ordination of the EIA and the provision of sustainability advice in support of the planning application for the Green Belt site earmarked for development in the emerging GMSF.
The plans for Godley Green would create a vibrant new community and promotes exemplary standards of design and sustainable building.
Pea Green has overseen the work or a diverse technical team, engaged with key stakeholders to identify practical and innovative solutions to environmental problems, and worked closely with the client team to help realise their ambitious vision.
Symmetry Park, Merseyside
Pea Green was appointed as EIA Co-ordinator for the development of a 830,000 sqft logistics facility on the site of the Halsnead Garden Village in Knowsley.
Working on behalf of Tritax Symmetry, we produced the Environmental Statement in support of the planning application and advised the client and planning team throughout the project on environmental planning and design matters.
The application was approved by planning committee in June 2021.
The Garden Village at Handforth
Pea Green is instructed by Engine of the North Ltd to co-ordinate the EIA process for a 114 hectare garden village development in Cheshire.
The Site presents the opportunity to create an exemplar new village of around 1,500 new dwellings, including starter and other affordable homes as well as plots for self-build and community-build homes. The Garden Village will also include up to 12 hectares of employment land, alongside a new village centre with shops, a pub and restaurants. Other community facilities will include a primary school, sports facilities and a village hall.
The commission involves the provision of environmental advice throughout the design process and the preparation and submission of the EIA Scoping Report and the Environmental Statement.

Penrhos Leisure Village, Anglesey
Pea Green acted for Land & Lakes (Anglesey) Ltd as a consultant for the delivery of their flagship development in Anglesey.
The project proposes the delivery of a 500 lodge holiday village at Penrhos, near Holyhead. in addition, a further 300 holiday lodges at Cae Glas and 320 houses at Kingsland will be built, to be occupied in the first instance by up to 3,500 construction workers associated with the new nuclear power station at Wylfa.
The development will deliver lasting legacy to the Island in the form of 600 jobs, management of the natural environment and affordable housing.
Mirehouse and Corkickle, Whitehaven
Pea Green advised Land & Lakes (Cumbria) Ltd to advise on the planning and delivery of two sites in West Cumbria known as Mirehouse and Corkickle.
The sites proposed the delivery of accommodation for 4,000 nuclear construction workers during the build period of the new power station at Moorside, near Sellafield. Thereafter, the properties were to be converted into high quality family homes which.
The commission included close working with NuGen and Copeland BC, to ensure that the projects deliver the requirements of all key stakeholders.
